Derwent Brass enjoys a settled membership and vacancies do not arise that often. The band is unique, playing to a high standard but rehearsing just once a week. The general administration of the band endeavours to be 'family friendly' and 'work friendly'. A good standard of playing is obviously a basic requirement and preferably experience of at least 'section 1' level banding. Enthusiasm and commitment are the most essential characteristics in the make up of any Derwent member

As a result of a recent resignation, due to other commitments, our Bass section is now only three!
The vacancy is currently on Eb bass, however because of the flexibility of the existing team we can accept applications from either Eb or Bb players
This is an excellent opportunity to join this friendly band, we rehearse generally only once per week on Thursdays, in Belper. Currently Championship section.
