Player that is, not the instrument!!! Derwent Brass is delighted to announce the appointment of Pam Davis to the flugel horn seat. Pam is very well known in the area and played for many years at the nearby Riddings Band.
The flugel horn position at Derwent Brass became vacant during summer of 2006 when Pam Devereux (wife of Bass Trombonist Andy) sadly had to resign the position due to health problem and obviously it has been very important to find the right person to fill this important role.
Over the past 8-9 months Pam has helped the band on a regular basis, putting in some impressive performances in both concert and contest and we are all delighted that she has now accepted the offer of a full time position with the band. horn section
