New Faces in the Derwent Brass Cornet Section
Neil Escott joins on 2nd cornet following the recent departure of long term member Alan Nelson who is taking a break from banding. Neil has just enjoyed a break from banding having had a 'year-out' after previously being the principle cornet of Riddings Band.
Neil is joined on 2nd cornet by Emma Davis. Emma was also a former member of Riddings band, and more recently a member of the Shirland Miners Welfare Band.
This is turning into quite a family affair, as Neil is married to our 3rd cornet player Susie Escott............... and flugel horn Pam Davis is Emma's mum!
