Dr Bob Childs visits Derwent Brass
The members of the band were treated to a fabulous evening rehearsal when Dr Bob Childs visited the bandroom. Bob managed to fit the visit in between preparing his band (Cory) for the forthcoming British Open, working with the National Youth Band of Wales, and his appearance at the Last Night of the Proms. The band were delighted that he managed to find time in his hectic schedule to accept an invitation to assist in the preparation of Ray Steadman-Allen's On Ratcliffe Highway for the band's performance at the National Finals
