When it comes to performances in small churches, special occasions such as receptions, informal events  like village fetes etc, sometimes a full blown brass band is just too much .

Since being formed in late 2003 the ensemble has performed at local churches, beer festival in Derby Assembly rooms, civic receptions, Shopping centres, a Young Farmers' summer ball, weddings receptions and several fetes. The ensemble also undertook a whistle stop trip to Germany to take part in the Maintz Christmas Festival 2003       and again in 2004
