Lady HiltonLady Hilton is a very well known personality in Derbyshire and has supported music and performance in the county enthusiastically for many years. She is Patron of several local musical groups, choirs and societies and we are honoured that she accepted an invitation to become Patron of Derwent Brass.
Mrs Nancy Bird    Mrs Bird is another well known personality in Derbyshire who has given her support to Derwent Brass for several years. The very successful Summer Proms concerts have been held in the beautiful gardens of her home. The band are proud to look upon Nancy as a friend and were delighted that she accepted an invitation to become a Patron of Derwent Brass
Roy PooleRoy Poole has been a very good friend and loyal supporter of the band for many years. He is the hard working Chairman of the Friends of Nightingale MacMillan for whom the band has performed numerous concerts in support of this worthwhile cause. Roy became a Patron of the Band in 2005

Over the years he has served the band as Secretary, Contest Secretary and Chairman and has also been a member of Midlands Area Committee

Nev studied music at Salford College prior to moving to Derbys and as well as his involvement with Derwent Brass he has been the Musical Director of the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band and Rolls Royce (Derby) Band.

Regrettably Eric passed away in 2003 (see tribute) and therefore we were pleased that founder band member Nev Eden accepted the position of Band President.

It is fair to say that without Nev Derwent Brass probably would not have existed as he was undoubtedly the inspiration and driving force behind the formation of the band in 1992.

In those early days of the band any job that needed doing would be tackled by Nev, and as a playing member he has occupied the principal
